Admittedly, there's not much going on here beyond the surface level revenge plot, so pretty much all the credit I'm giving here is for the visuals. One of my favourite digitally shot movies, alongside Top Gun: Maverick. I do love film, but digital can really work well if you're going for a hyper realistic look. Tons of stunning vistas, mostly shot in natural light. Anyone who has spent a lot of time in nature (raises hand) would probably agree that this film truly feels like a portal to the outdoors. Good to know that most of this was shot here in Canada, specifically in Alberta. And Leo getting mauled by a grizzly for the Oscar is worth the price of admission.

Watched in IMAX at Scotiabank Theatre Toronto. 10th anniversary screening. Two nights only!
